Stun and the Elemental Resistance mess....

SE>> "The elemental resistance of some monsters may not be working as normal." ...................While everyone has been running around talking about how Enfeebles have been nerfed and Elemental Resists have changed. I my self have noticed that the duration of the spell Stun is now shorter on certain mobs then others. Some mobs now instantly become unStunned and some mobs become unstunned roughly half the duration then from before the update. This is obviously related to what SE says in there information notes "The elemental resistance of some monsters may not be working as normal". ....................Talking about Stun ......I have now completed the new FFXI Mini-Expansion and have aquired my new body Equipment. I have choosen the Augments FastCast+5 and M.Acc+4. I am using this for a FastCast/Mellee Gear Set. This set has 18%Haste and 9%FastCast. All I am gonna say is my Stun is fast as hell now and I am loving the faster Recast Timers. I am now Stunning everything with the exception of InstaCast Spells/Abilities and nonStunable stuff. Here are a few examples of the timers without Gear and the new ones with the new Macro Gear Set. Every DRK should make this set. I will post the Gear set in a future post. Utesumi:Ni ........ old recast 45 secs........now 34 secs Utesumi:Ichi ..... old recast 30 secs........now 23 secs Stun ..........................now 34 secs Drain2 .............. old recast 3 min ..........now 2 min and 19 secs DreadSpikes .... old recast 3 min ..........now 2 min and 19 secs .........................On top of all this I aquired some Usu Boots from the RemnantBrave Salvage runs and my friend LukeBoxWalker has aquired one of those new Augmented Death Scythe's from the ANNM runs we have been doing. The additional Stats were Str+1, Delay-1% and DarkSkill+9. There's also a bunch of other stuff to mention but my PC is still dead and I am making this Blog post fast from work. Anyway. DRK MAGIC DAMAGE MIDIGATION MACRO GEAR (PART-1)

TODAY BEGINS WITH SUCK: .........Today the big 800 pound Gorilla (the one that's always perched on my back) started beating me down earlier then usual. You see.... my home PC is still down for the count and my attempt at creating this post for you by getting to work early and hoping on a PC got kicked in the nuts. Apparently something happened to the powerlines shutting down the entire State Highway Route-23. Thus transforming my normal easy-pesy 12 minute ride to work into a frustratingly 2 hour chaotic cluster fuck that can only be described as the pain associated with being ass raped by a elephant. On top of that...... when I pulled into the parking lot .......Verizon had already taken down all the Cable lines that ran from the telephone pole to our building and never bothered to put them back up. That meant no phones and noooooooooo online. Oh and mind you that even though it is Mid-April it was freak'n cold as hell outside and sleeting. Yet no one was there at my work to let me in. Well anyway after watching the sleet fall for a possibly a few seconds my attention turned away to my car's right front tire which was smoking really bad. This is because the brakes desperately need some attention and repair. Suddenly I could feel a headache coming on and I knew inside the building we were out of Advil. .................................... Thus began the freshly squeezed juicy start of my day as I choked on a breakfast of champions ......a shit sandwhich on two pieces of hard moldy bread with a slice of pungent fromunda cheese. (As gross as that sounds ...if you could picture any that in your mind then I did a good job writting it ^^) A FEW THINGS: ...........OK.....traversing away.....away from my dreadful dreary morning ....a few small things to get out of the way: 1) Loquacious Earring aquired 2) 9 Merits used on Warrior leaving it at something like 22 Merits or less untill capped 3) Gobbie bag is now @ 75 capicity 4) My friend Qtipus has a Blog now 5) I am now on the "A Crystalline Prophecy" final Mission and turned in 4 of the keys to get this little baby: Mythril Ring Hp+4 MP-4 "Attack+5" "Subtle Blow+2" Lvl-24 All jobs TO CATCH A THIEF: ............Alrighty then..... this made me laugh pretty hard as I was playing FFXI. You see I was doing one of the "Crystalline Prophecy" Misssions and I was using both the 12% speedy W.Legs and those +12% "Wings Of The Goddess" speedy boots. While In the mist of all this running around....... I ran passed a +12% Skadi Booty wear'n Thief called Elynson. The Thief probably was wondering how the hell I was passing him or her and began to /check me immediately followed by Elynson using Flee. To me ........ I think... this beady eyed little Thief felt like I was Stealing a little piece of his/her Thief-E-ness. Eventually I did catch up and as I passed I did this in /say... ZOoooOOOOoMMMMY!!!! .......and thus the Thief used Flee again and Zoned. LMAO. I was laughing but the Thief didn't seem to be. DARK M.AGIC D.AMAGE M.IDIGATION GEAR: ...............OK ...I know I am known as the "Obssesed DRK" but why the hell would a DRK have a Magic Damage Midigation Gear macro set. Well I was wondering that same thing too. First of all .....the Iron Allied Notes gear....it has War/Pld/Drk as the only jobs that can equip it. Does that mean something? Maybe. Secondly I decided that I need to aquire this gear because I am leveling Pld anyway as my next job to 75. Then finally....... I am not your regular plooped from the mold, cookie cutter, out of control hate root -n- toot'n Drk and I never ever was. I designed my character straight from the start to be Drk and I knew wanted to be pushing the envolope by setting the precedent ......not flocking with the sheep and eating the grass. Thus I decided to make myself yet another gear set. LMAO. However just so you can judge and not eyeball it.......... this gear already has it's potential usefulness.... I will give you 2 good examples. 1) The new Mini-Expansion "A Crystalline Prophecy's" final Mission: Yes using this type of gear while battling a predominantly magic user/based mob makes sense to me. Yet to test it. 2) Ultima: Yesterday we did a Ultima run in Limbus. I happened to get Drawn In when it was doing a Citedel Buster and while having about 1500+ of my 1700+ HP I macroed in my MDM Gear set. Thus allowing me to survive with a 1219 butt hurt instead of a 1900+ instant death. However as I ran away the Ultima bastard Sword decided to Holy II'd me for about 500+ and killed me anyway. LMAO! So............ did you see that? A Drk survivng a Citedel Buster on his own. Obssesed? Yes! Moronic? No! ..........................Well...thats it for today. On the next post I will try to get into what I used in this gear set and what I could posible upgrade on it. I do have more to learn on Magic Defense Bonus vs. Magic Damage Taken vs Magic Resists and what would be the best set up/variation that I could use. ...but anyway.....See ya next post..... and as always see ya online! ~BAM

................Sooooooo how does everyone like camping the Orcs, Yags, and Quads BeastMan for the SpeedBalls. I don't know about you...... but the only balls that I seen dropping .......was SquareEnix TeaBag'n my pretty little mouth. SquareEnix>> You got some pretty lil' lips there boy. Jess>> HALP!!! ................I mean, come on SE did you really strategically plan this to be a frustrating dumb ass bottle neck? What a Big set of Brass Balls you have for making this the mini-expansion's 1st Mission. I mean...... It felt like I was camping HNMs against like 100 bot'rs. This is the reason I don't do HNMs in the 1st place. I hate that whole boring camping thing. Why you ask?....because It Suxs Balls! .......BIG TIME! ................I'm not even gonna Rant about the maintenece extension..... make that 2 extensions for a total of 6 extra hours......but Between that and the SpeedBall bottle neck Mission (thats what we should call it).....I just went to bed instead of being overly excited about the update. Less then 12 hours later they are having another maintenece.......and No.... StarCade has not tak'n over my Blog. ^^ ................. I also now have 9 unused Merits. I was saving them up for a possible Merit increase in this update patch. Well that never happened so I'm gonna use them on my War which is almost Merit capped. ...................On a much lighter note I want to congrats Kallo for his completion of his Usa Body. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! Speeking about Usa I just got the 25-Legs drop leaving me with just the 35-Legs and 25-Feet needed to complete both pieces for my Sam. ....................and for the last thing in todays post..... is the sad sad sad news that my home computer is fuckedup and now has a very bad virus/spyware/malwear/trojan or whatever you want to call it. It is gonna have to be wiped and restarted from scratch. That suxs balls too because now I can't update my Blog from home. I have to do it at work if possible which means expect alot less posts for a few weeks. I'll end my post with the now famous FFXI NinjaFox saying... Lguapo = M.Body

..........Well as promised ...heres a pic of Lguapo with his shiny brand new M.Body all uncursed and on his big Galka ass. I took this pic as we were gathering together for some KS-99 action but we ended up falling short on specific needed jobs and overall memberbase. Instead we ended up doing some KS-30's which was pretty easy to do...... which netted every win with atleast a O. Ignot. Hopefully we can do some KS-99's on Sunday. I have probably done like 30 KS-99 runs for other friends and linkshells in the past but never used my own Orb. I have been saving my Kindred Seals just for this purpose. ..........If you look at the pictures below......... one of them is Izman Teabag'n me because I died while soloing Treasures and Tribulations BC-30 while I was waiting for a KS-30 group. Also that same night.....while fighting a Frog NM in Salvage..... Ravax was turned into a Frog and killed me. Probably was revenge because I keep Teabag'n him and posting the pics on my Blog. LMAO

Welcome to another Blog entry about FFXI endgame life through the eyes of the Odin Server's one and only Jess the obssesed Dark Knight. First off....I just want to say thank you to RingThree. I am very happy to except my new "Obssesed DRK" title from your Blog "You Are Not Your Fucking O's kote". keeping to with this idea...let's look at the many different types of players that share the community with us in FFXI and maybe we can have some fun while we are at it too. 1) "The King" (levels multiple jobs and is very good at every job that they play) 2) "The Moron" (levels multiple jobs and sucks at basically all of them..... also gets Blist'd by like half the server for being very prominent at the art of sucking) 3) "The Ace" (levels multiple jobs... but can never satisfy the hunger at aiming to be the best at That 1 specific job that they love .....almost to the point of utmost obssesiveness) 4) "The Jack" (levels multiple jobs for purpose of just enjoying the game but never really finds that sweat spot of any particular job..... but doesn't really suck at any of them either .......also called "Jack of all trades, Master of none") 5) "The Troll Under The Bridge" (Never really enjoys the game as much as Stalking the InterWebs to horribly deface peoples posts and forum comments while spamming internet lingo such as "In your face" or "Balls to the Walls" which only seems funny to a 12 year old) .........j/k NinjaFox ^^ 6) "The Greedellox" (Just like the Poke'Mon's motto "gotta collect them all"..... this type of player is all out for themselves and while all of us enjot getting in game gear.... the idea of passing a drop to another note worthy player or friend is stricktly out of the question and beyond this persons ability) 7) "The Ass Hole" (Well while anyone can be "a asshole"..... there is normally only 1 person on each server that inherently gains unambiguous totalitarian acceptence by the entire FFXI community to be called "THE Ass Hole") 8) "The Drama Whore" (When stirring up the pot can never be stirred enough.....) 9) "The FFXI Proffessor" (No Rant is to small... no game mechanic is to big....this type of player likes to break it all down into little tiny pieces like the hands of a clock that breaks down the hours of a day. 10) "The TeaBag'r" (Runs around TeaBagging everyone...sometimes takes pictures of it for their Blog.... sometimes sends people /tell messages that read "teabag teabag teabag teabag teabag") 11) "The Spoon" (Just like the name aplies...this type of player is lost with out the fork and the knife......and somehow always takes that wrong turn in sky ending in Kirin's room) 12) "The Mantra" (While we all understand we are playing a RPG and that it is true alot of "dudes" like to play as female gendered characters...... this type of player however likes to take it to an entire new level by acting out the part to the point of actually being really scary) 13) "The Elitist" (This type of player has somehow surpassed level 75 in their mind and will absolutely never join a experience party unless it has a Rdm, Brd, and filled with Dual Weilding JoyToy/ Ridel Wars.......they also tend to call everyone in the game a "Noob" when compared to themselves. 14) "The Hater" (See StarCade's Blog for a reference.....don't hate the hater ....hate the game) ^^ ..........I know there are other types of players out there in our FFXI community....some of which are a combination of a few clsssifications...so If you would like.... by all means have some fun and post some ideas on my comments page.
